Animoto

Animoto is a site where you can put many pictures into a slideshow, put music behind it, and present to your friends. If you pay for it you can make a 2 minute long Animoto video. Here is the one I made.

Weebly is a site where you can make your own website! It can be any type of site you want. There are tools like add text, add product, and even a contact info sheet. It is free, but if you want all the tools you have to pay. Click here to check out my amazing website.

Google Chrome

Google Chrome is a web browser like FireFox, Internet Explorer, and Safari. I like Chrome better because it runs faster than the other three. On Google Chrome, there is an app store where you can download free games, themes, and other fun things. There are also things like business tools and lifestyle apps you can download. Chrome is very helpful. It runs faster, so it gets results faster than the other browsers. You won't have to wait for three minutes just to see the weather with Google Chrome. Click here to get it!

StoryJumper

Firefox Add-Ons

Do you like to use Firefox? Did you know that there is add-ons for it? Well there is! Firefox add-ons are add-ons for Firefox (hence the name). I added add-ons like a piano that you play with the number keys, a game that many board games on it like checkers, and even Pacman! What ever you are into, there is an add-on for it. Go check it out. Firefox Persona

Firefox Persona is where you can go to look for cool themes for Firefox. The themes run from sports to abstract art. My theme is an Oklahoma State University (OSU) logo. They are my favorite collegiate team, so i chose them as my theme. If you like any team like the Oakland Raiders (football), Golden State Warriors (basketball), Oakland Athletics (baseball), or even the Vancouver Canucks (hockey), they are on  there for a theme! go check it out RIGHT NOW!!!!

Citation Machine

Citation Machine is a website I found TechWeb2. Citation Machine is a website where you can type in a Url, select a format (MLA, APA, etc.), and then you press go and whammo! The machine makes a citation for you! It pulls all the information needed off of the website and turns it into a citation for you. It is very helpful when writing papers with many different sources.

PiZap

I edited these photos on PiZap. PiZap is a sight where you can edit your photos and spice them up a bit. You can do a lot of different things on this website.

PhotoFunia

I made this picture on PhotoFunia. It is a sight where you can implant your face into a picture. There is many different pictures to choose from as well.

Today I made this cool picture with Tagul. It is a cool website where you can create cool word clouds like mine. It can be about anything you want, and you can upload your own images to use. You can also link up websites to certain words.

Drawing Tools

I really enjoyed using the FlamePainter sight. It is a sight where you can make cool creations with flames. You can change the colors of the flames, how big they are, and what they look like.

Stykz

Today I made an awesome movie with Stykz! Stykz is used to make awesome animated movies with stick figures. This is one that I made!

Google Voice

Google Voice is basically a cell phone on your computer. You can get a new number from your computer, and if you sync up your phone with your computer, if someone calls that number it will ring on the computer and you phone. That can be very useful if you don't want to give out your private number. They also have very low rates on long distance calls. It is a penny per minute. I definetly would recommend Google Voice to my friends.

Avatars

Today we went to many different websites to make avatars. Avatars are computer generated people you make. Some may resemble people, and some may not. One of the websites we explored was Build Yourself Wild. It is a website where you can make an avatar regular, or you can add a whole bunch of different animal parts onto it. Parts like elephant snouts, crocodile tails, and peacock feathers. Another website I explored was South Park Studios. It isa website where you can make your own South Park character. They even some contests to see who has the best one. I also used Be Funky. It is a photo editing site where you can edit photos to make them look better. I had a lot of fun exploring these websites.

Google Hangouts

Last class we learned about Google Hangouts. Google Hangouts is kind of like FaceTime, but you can have up to 9 people. You can only have 2 people in a FaceTime. On Google Hangouts, you can video chat with your friends, and you can add weird things on to your screen to make yourself look humorous. You can share your screen if you need to show somebody something on your computer screen. I had fun video chatting with my friends in class, and I think that Google Hangouts is a very useful program because if you need to show somebody something you can just invite them to a hangout. It also can be used for an international conference, or something like that.

Google Products

For the past couple of weeks we have been exploring Google Products. We explored Google Maps, which is used for finding places that you may not know the address for, or getting road maps to go somewhere when you really aren't sure how to get there. We also explored Google Trends. It is a sight that shows what kind of things are trending or were trending recently. Another cool app we used was Google Drive. Google Drive is a very helpful way to store documents, and still be able to get them on another computer. We practiced using spreadsheets, presentations, and just blank documents on there. We also learned how to share a document so that other people will be able to view and edit it. We also used Panoramio. It is just like Google Maps, but it adds more pictures of the place yo are looking for. We also learned about Google Books and Google News. Google Books is an easy way to find a book you want to read and be able to read it instantly. Google News is just like a news website, but its all different websites put into one. We also learned about Google+. Google+ is a social media site kind of like Facebook. You can share pictures with your circles of friends, and you can instant message people if you need to. Learning about all of these was very fun and educational.

Blogger Gadgets

Today we explored the gadgets of Blogger. We got to explore all different types of gadgets. They ranged from games like Pacman to inspirational quotes. Blogger gadgets are tools who can use on your blogger page. I really liked the Sprinter 100 meters gadget. It was a really fun game about trying to be the fastest ever. I made it to the Galaxy Athletic Meet and then lost. I also like the Fish gadget. Its a gadget that lets you put 1-10 fish on your blog. You can change the colors of the fish, water, and the fish food. I had a lot of fun exploring the different gadgets today.

Symbaloo

Symbaloo is a social bookmarking website. It is used for saving your favorite websites to your Symbaloo account for easy accessing. You can change the back ground of your Symbaloo page, and you can add whatever website you want to. You can change the background of your link as well, and you can also change the picture on the link. You can search for webmixes on your favorite. If you are really into football, you can search for a webmix that is all about football instead of creating your own. You can add as many webmixes to your Symbaloo account as you want. Symbaloo is a great way to save websites that you might not remember. Say if you got onto a shopping website, but the next day you forgot what it was. Voki

Voki is a free website used to create vokis. Vokis are avatars that you can make say anything you want. There is a wide variety of vokis to choose from. You can customize your voki however you like, and you can have it say a message. The message has to be less then 90 seconds though. You can add a voki to your blog by copying the html and paste the link into the gadget HTML/Javascript. I think that the voki website is really cool. I enjoyed making my voki and exploring all the cool tools on the website. Click here to go create your own voki!

How I use the internet

A lot of times, I use the internet to Skype friends and family. I also spend some time on Raiders.com looking at the latest posts to see what is going on in  the Raiders organization. I also like to look for good deals on Amazon.com. Sometimes I check my Facebook or Twitter to see what my friends are up to. Occasionally I will get on Vine to watch some funny videos that people have posted. I use the internet for homework as well. Click here to search things on the internet.
